Jenny H. Chu,
SLPD, CCC-SLP
Executive Director
As a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Chu has specialized in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of communication challenges. She has worked with populations ranging from Early Intervention through geriatrics. The focus of her clinical research has been in the area of social communication skills in adolescents and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is passionate about teaching young people to overcome social skills challenges to develop meaningful relationships in their lives.
Dr. Chu holds a a Clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Queens College - City University of New York, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Marymount Manhattan College. She is a certified provider of PEERS® for Adolescents and PEERS® for Young Adults. She has been a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1998. Dr. Chu is a Course Facilitator at Emerson College in Boston, MA as well as Clinical Practicum Supervisor at Emerson College, MGH Institute of Health Professions, Boston University and Northeastern University. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts and New York. She is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin dialects).
Dr. Chu is active in the community as Brookline’s Community Outreach Coordinator for young children and their families. She is the founder of #momsrunbrookline, a team designed to encourage women with little to no running experience to participate in community events and races. She lives with her family in Brookline, MA.
